About this event

IEEE VIS Arts Program (VISAP) 2026 ( https://visap.net/2026 /), the arts and design program of Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers Visualization Conference (IEEE VIS) ( https://ieeevis.org/year/2026 /), brings together visualization researchers, designers, artists, and practitioners who explore creative and critical approaches to data through art, design, and visualization. VISAP provides a a dedicated venue for visualization researchers, designers, and artists exploring innovative approaches at the intersection of visualization and the arts, and this year’s theme, Amplification, questions: “What does it mean to turn up the signal on data, stories, and communities that the world tends not to hear?”

The VISAP exhibition will be held at the Metropolitan Storage Warehouse at MIT (W41-2318) from November 11–13, 2026, alongside the IEEE VIS Conference in Boston from November 9–13, 2026. We invite the MIT SA+P community to join the exhibition opening and keynote speaker on November 11th at 7:00pm in W41-2318 and to explore the 17 interactive data visualization artworks on display.
