About this event
The Somerville Public Library in partnership with St. Mark Community Education Program is offering a free, 12-week U.S. Citizenship Preparation class. The class will prepare students for the citizenship interview including the 128 civics questions, the reading & writing sections, and interview questions based on their N-400 application. We will also have a presentation by Project Citizenship about the citizenship process and how students can register for their free services. The class will be held in-person at Central Library (79 Highland Avenue) on 12 Saturdays from 10-12 from September 12-December 5.
Requirements: Intermediate level of English (reading, writing, speaking and understanding) and 5 years as a U.S. permanent resident (green card holder) or 3 years, if married to a US citizen.
Attendance: By registering, students are registering for all 12 weeks and are expected to come to a majority of the classes.
