About this event

Title: Chat with Colloquium Speaker

Description: Come out to talk Astronomy with our colloquium speaker for the week, Professor Andrew Vanderburg of Harvard University. This is a great time to learn more about what he will present in the colloquium later in the afternoon and about his career more broadly! Professor Vanderburg's research focuses on the development of cutting-edge techniques and methods to discover new planets outside of our solar system and studying the planets found to learn their detailed properties. Some of his driving questions include "Are the planets orbiting other stars throughout the galaxy anything like the worlds in our Solar system?" and "Could any of these planets be hospitable to life like the Earth?" .
