About this event
In response to our Community Needs Survey, this session will assist in navigating the legal paperwork of estrangement and provide a guide to sorting real legal risk from fear.
The session will do so by evaluating these three questions to sort real risk from fear:
1. Is it a legal obligation, or a family expectation?
2. Does it apply where I live?
3. Who can confirm it for me?
A Resource Guide mapping the Paperwork, Protections, and paths to Peace of Mind will also be presented. The session is a resource-navigation workshop.
It will help members find official sources and qualified help for their own situation. It does not explain what the law requires for any individual.
This session is presented by the Together Estranged CEO. This session shares general information only. It is not legal advice, and no one acting as your lawyer. Laws differ in every state and every country, and nothing applies to your specific situation.
This event will be recorded for community benefit, and shared on our private Discord forum.
